Answers To Our Most Asked Questions
We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience. If you have other questions, feel free to email our studio manager at info@tailoredfitfilms.com
“WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?”
Great question! Pricing starts at $3500 for weddings in Kelowna, Vernon & Kamloops. Every wedding is unique and so depending on what you have in mind we can absolutely put together a custom offering. Please reach out to us for details – We’d love to hear about your day!
“HOW MANY CAMERAS/CAMERA-OPERATORS WILL BE USED TO CAPTURE MY DAY?”
No matter what film package you choose, each wedding is filmed with crew members utilizing the same techniques. We use 1-2 camera operators depending on your package.
“DO YOU OFFER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?”
Yes, we are proud to be the only studio offering both Wedding Films & Photography. Tailored Fit Films Clients can save up to 10% off of Wedding Photography bookings with our sister studio, Tailored Fit Photography.
Combined bookings have the added advantage of only having to coordinate with one studio, consistency in quality, and ensuring that your whole team is working together to capture your day perfectly.
“DOES MY FILM COME WITH A FULL COPY OF THE CEREMONY? “
Yes! Unless otherwise specified, every package comes with your Full Ceremony and Speeches, which allows you to relive your ceremony homily, vows, and your reception toasts in their entirety, from multiple angles.
“DO I RECEIVE ALL OF MY WEDDING FOOTAGE?”
Packages come with an artistically composed Feature Film, and a full copy of your ceremony and speeches. Your Feature Film is the result of us taking the BEST parts of all your footage and condensing it into an emotional and entertaining family heirloom. If you wish to purchase your raw footage, it is available as an a la carte item for $500 delivered on an external hard drive.
“HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU FILM PER YEAR?”
Tailored Fit Films is available for a limited number of weddings per year. We try not to accept more than 15 annually. We may allow a few extras for exotic destination weddings abroad.
“HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE ARE INCLUDED IN MY PACKAGE?”
Coverage time is up to you! Our packages come with anywhere from 6 to 12 hours of continuous wedding coverage. Should your wedding go longer than your chosen package includes, you are free to add as much coverage time as you’d like at an additional fee of $200 per hour for the first hour, and $350 for every hour after that.
“DO YOU REQUIRE MEALS AT THE RECEPTION?”
Yes, we ask that meals be provided at the wedding reception as part of our contract. By the time the reception arrives we’ve been working none-stop for up to 10 hours without a break or a chance to grab a snack, so we need a chance to recoup so we’re ready to film the rest of your evening 🙂
“HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY FILM?”
We think year long turnaround times are crazy, and push to have your film finished in 8-10 weeks. That said we run into a backlog during the summer, so your contract will state that it could take up to 3 months from your wedding in case circumstances prevent us from maintaining that expectation. We would much rather be upfront about this now than disappoint you later on.
“HOW IS THE FILM DELIVERED? DVD, FLASH DRIVE?”
You want your film to last – and you it in the best possible quality! With everything moving online and onto the cloud, DVD’s are now going the route of VHS. In knowing this trend is coming, we now provide all our clients with online galleries + digital downloads so that viewing and sharing is instant and easy!
“MY FRIENDS HAD A SAME DAY EDIT AT THEIR WEDDING. IT WAS A SHORT FILM PLAYED AT THE END OF THE NIGHT! DO YOU OFFER THIS?”
Yes we offer Same Day Edits! Same Day Edits are a great way to have something instantly to show at your wedding while you wait for your Feature Film. Because they require a lot of preproduction work and extra gear, we have to charge extra for this service. Same Day Edits are available for an additional $800.
Because producing the film is our primary focus, we need you to arrange the visual screens and sound system for playback of your film. Many DJs and wedding reception venues now offer this amenity.
“WILL I BE ABLE TO CHOOSE THE MUSIC FOR YOU TO USE IN THE FEATURE FILM?”
We’re convinced that Legal Sounds Better. Music Licensing these days has gotten complicated, and well known songs can be extremely expensive to acquire rights for. In addition, some songs lend themselves better to a film setting than others – if you listen to the film score of your favourite move, chances are its much different than what you’d hear on the radio. We ask that you trust us to choose the music for your film. We will pick music that we feel best captures your individuality and the emotion behind your day.
“HOW DO I BOOK A CONSULTATION? WHAT IF I DON’T LIVE NEARBY?”
Simply fill out the contact form in our menu, and provide us with as much information as you can. Someone will get back to you ASAP.
Tailored Fit Films is currently located in Kelowna, British Columbia, but if you’re not in town, no worries! We are happy to have a consultation with you via Skype.
“I AM HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING, HOW DOES THAT WORK AS FAR AS PRICING AND TRAVELING?”
We LOVE destination weddings, and are happy to create custom packages to fit your wedding plans. We’ll take care of all travel arrangements, so you won’t have to worry about a thing!
